Mike's Gripes #1

Chris O'Donnell probably first came to the attention of the general movie-going public through his role in 'Scent of a Woman' with Al Pacino.

But after playing the Boy Wonder in 'Batman Forever' and 'Batman & Robin' he appeared in one of those films I'll never forget - because it was so bad I would rather have my stomach pulled through my belly button than watch again - 'Vertical Limit'.

One minute he can barely walk, he's struggling to breathe and you think he's on the verge of collapse.

Next minute he's taking a running leap off a cliff and using an axe to cling to an ice shelf.

And that was one of the more believable aspects of the film.

Since then I haven't been able to sit through a single second of O'Donnell on film and it's something I haven't regretted for a second.

Although it's not like I need an excuse not to watch 'Batman & Robin' again - but that's a whole other rant.

Congratulations Chris O'Donnell - you are Mike's Gripes #1.
